That’s a self-portrait of me at the post office, on line to buy money orders to pay my rent (it’s over $1,000, which is the maximum money order amount), to illustrate my essay. When I was little we used to say: “Pretty please—I’ll be your best friend!” I’m reviving that to ask you to comment, like, reblog, pass on and/or just read my first piece for xoJane, a personal essay/cautionary tale, “It Happened to Me: I Declared Bankruptcy.” Thank you!
