Daily gratitude
Just turned on my phone and found text from neighbor from last night. There was a kitten outside my window and they wanted to know if it was mine. Off to Minneapolis today and a few days of vacation before 2 events and meeting with 3 Berkeley publishers. Trying to stay calm and dig in to work I not only have to do but want to do, for the most part. I am about to go to a coffeeshop at 7 am but I’m grateful every day I don’t have to commute to my old job. I would take a full time job at a thriving publication where I felt like I was actually writing/editing things people were reading, but I’m grateful I can go explore state fairs and see old friends and configure my schedule the way I want. I’ve come a long way since the madness of last year and even January, which was not my finest month. Looking forward to the Twin Cities and looking around for potential places to live. Pretty sure we could handily pay a third of our combined rent and live in a great space there.
